This animation is part of a series of animations helping to visualise the course of the vertebral arteries through the cervical vertebrae and into the foramen magnum. Several of the cranial bones were removed for visualisation of the artery entering the skull. I have built a comprehensive model of the skeleton including a disarticulated skull with individually selectable bones. This allows for the creation of animations such as this and many more including the articulation of bones through the activation of different muscles such as the temporalis muscle and the mandible.
